Happy Friday! This week on the Sisters in Stamping blog I chose all things "Red, White and Blue" for our project theme in honor of the Fourth of July/Independence Day celebration in the U.S. next week. In addition, my sister Cindy featured a great card layout for her Simply Paper Design challenge #6 for June which includes the color combination of midnight muse, raspberry ripple and whisper white so I decided to combine the two - I love it when I can kill two birds with one stone, which is what I did to make my card above.
Although the sunlight washed my colors out a bit, my card does feature midnight muse designer paper from the new stack, raspberry ripple card stock that was textured with the Stripes impressions folder and lots of whisper white card stock. I pulled out my old-timey bicycle image from the Timeless Talk stamp set and used the birthday sentiment from it as well since it is for America's birthday (and I can use it later for someone!). I wanted to feature another color, so pulled in crumb cake as an additional neutral. I don't have any current star images or punches so left those off my card but stuck pretty close to the layout, don't you think?
For even more red, white and blue inspiration, be sure and hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog after Noon EST today to check out what Karla and Rachel came up with this week. Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Hope you find some time to stamp... I am getting together with my team for our annual Summer Shoe Box Swap meeting tomorrow and am so excited!! I'll be sure to share pics of those projects with you over the next couple of weeks.
