Fabulous Friday spritzed scrapbook page
Thanks for stopping by on Fabulous Friday - this week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we created projects that feature the new Stampin' Spritzers found on page 179 of the catalog. These refillable spritzer bottles are perfect for creating your own shimmer sprays in any color you want!! I used mine to create a gumball green shimmer spray for my scrapbook page.

Want to know how I created this page? I used my Big Shot to cut out several of the pieces using the Lattice Bigz die. I dotted adhesive to parts of the back of each using a 2-way glue pen and let it dry to become tacky so I could create a stencil.

Next, I mixed up my own shimmer mist by filling a spritzer 1/2 full with 70% rubbing alcohol and 6 drops of gumball green ink refill and 3 drops of champagne mist shimmer paint.

I shook up the spritzer and then had fun spraying my card stock to get shimmer and color on the entire page (tip - placing your card stock in an empty box works great to keep your work space shimmer-free). By using a higher concentration alcohol, it dried very quickly so my paper didn't warp too badly. I pulled my stencils off and now have those left to make some cards (will share that tomorrow) and my pretty page. I immediately emptied my spritzer and cleaned it in the sink with water and once dry it's good to go for my next project!!

To finish the page I created some fun flower embellishments using the Blossom, Boho Blossom and Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack with tangerine tango, real red and daffodil delight card stock. I made up a colorless shimmer spray with just champagne mist shimmer paint and alcohol to add shimmer to the flower layers. To add some interest, I added texture to the larger flower layers with my Big Shot and the new Lacy Brocade folder (tangerine tango layers) and Square Lattice folder (daffodil delight layers). I attached the two larger flowers with stampin' dimensionals and the rest using Tombow multipurpose adhesive. To create my leaves I folded over a piece of the double stitched gumball green satin ribbon and taped them to the back of the flowers.

I decided I wanted this page to feature one large 5x7 photo and two smaller ones with a journaling block in the middle. The main photo has a whisper white base mat cut to 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" and a second mat of gumball green card stock cut to 5-1/4" x 7-1/4". The smaller whisper white photo mats are 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and the journaling box is 2-1/2" x 2". I added a little tag to the bottom of the large photo mat using the "happy day" sentiment from the Friendly Phrases stamp set and inked up just the words using a real red stampin' write marker. I stamped it on daffodil delight card stock and punched it out with the decorative label punch.
