2012-2014 In Color Co-Op opportunity

  Do you love the new 2012-2014 In Colors but don't have the means to purchase them along with their coordinating inks, card stock and embellishments all at once?  Then my In Color Co-Op is for you!!  For just $20 per month for a period of five months you will build your collection on a budget.  After the five months, here is what you'll have:

   If you are unable to pick up your order from me locally just add $5 to cover priority mail shipping direct to your door.  As a thank you, all members of the Co-Op will receive a hand-stamped card with their monthly order featuring the In Color of the month.

2012 Summer Shoe Box Swap & Downline meeting, part 7

Here's the last installment of this series... haven't you loved the projects my team came up with for our meeting?!

Wanda West created this elegant black and white card... it was really hard to photograph so forgive the bluish tint.  She also embellished an artboard 5x5 journal and a fun frame with butterflies cut from her Big Shot for the gift exchange.

Wendy Boothe used the Quint-Essential Flower set for her shoe box card and then CASE'd this gorgeous piece of art from Monica Weaver - I love the effect of the embossing folder on the metal!

Thanks for allowing me to share the talent of my team with you!  We had a great time at our meeting and I look forward to our December one!!

Here's a Fabulous Reason to Smile!!

  Have you had a chance to purchase the limited edition promotional stamp set for July called Reason to Smile?  This stamp set can be yours for just $5 with a qualifying $50 order THIS MONTH ONLY and we wanted to share some ideas with you for Fabulous Friday this week on the Sisters in Stamping blog.

  I wanted to use the new In Color Primrose Petals with my card and checked my color coach and came up with this combination:  primrose petals, pink pirouette, always artichoke and whisper white.  I stamped my own designer paper for the bottom of the card using the petal flower outline image and then used my stampin' write markers for the solid flower.  The sentiment comes from the new Blessings from Heaven stamp set - I just love the font!  I embellished it with a strip of card stock that I ran through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice texturz folder and tied a strip of the new stitched whisper white grosgrain to finish the card.

Ready for more?

Michelle Arthur CASE'd a card by Gretchen Barron and offered us two colors to choose from - one with a real red base (my card) and one with a rich razzleberry base.  I loved both!  She also created this great organizer made from a picture frame that includes a cork board and dry erase section - perfect for your office or kitchen!

Sherri Gough came up with this fun peacock card with lots of bling and designed this photo organizer from a picture frame for our gift exchange.  I'm thinking I need to pick up some frames the next time they go on sale since there were so many great ideas shared (Christmas is coming!).

Julia Miller designed the fun gatefold card above and for our gift exchange sewed these awesome oven mitts... guess who was the lucky recipient?  ME!!!!

Kathy Kennedy came up with this gorgeous water colored butterfly card above and for her gift exchange she altered this picture frame and created some fun card candy.

Kris Burdeaux CASE'd a fun card by Mary Fish for her project - I love that it features the Moving Forward stamp set which is our featured Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set this year!!

2012 Summer Shoe Box Swap & Downline meeting, part 4

   Ready for more projects from my meeting?  Today I'm sharing with you the card and gift items created by Jennifer Rawlings.  Her card features the hostess set Four Seasons - there is a window cut out of the front of the card using the 2-1/2" circle punch... cute idea!  Be sure to scroll down... her gift item is an altered wooden box filled with lots of fun jewelry items created with her Big Shot and various materials including shrink plastic and metal.  She even altered the cardboard box that the wooden box came in... so clever!  Can't wait to try making these myself!

 

2012 Summer Shoe Box Swap & Downline meeting, part 3

   Here is Gerin Martin with her gorgeous card and gift item.  Check it out, she even re-used her paper that gets packed with our Stampin' Up! orders to wrap the gift after she stamped it... homemade gift wrap.  That is upcycling to the max!!  Her project was an altered wooden plaque that became a photo display piece.

  Heather Palm CASE'd this baby bib card from LeeAnn Greff... our proud Mom-to-be used it to announce her pregnancy to her family recently and loved it so much she let us in on the fun.  Her gift project is a set of altered wood plaques as well.

It's Christmas in July!

  Happy Friday!  A little surprised to see a Christmas card already?  Well, this week on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are finishing up our Fabulous Friday catalog tour by focusing on the Seasonal Celebrations section and I decided to use the Snow Much Fun stamp set to make a Christmas card... it's never too early to start thinking about your holiday cards!!

  I really love using an aqua painter to watercolor on watercolor paper so I grabbed some stampin' write markers and had some fun.  The colors used for this card are pulled from the Be of Good Cheer DSP - gumball green, raspberry ripple and very vanilla.  I colored the little birdie with summer starfruit and the "snow" with baja breeze.

  Here's a close-up of the sentiment... I added a little bling to make it stand out more and edged the punch with a raspberry ripple marker.  This was popped up on the card front with some stampin' dimensionals.  I like how this card turned out... just as I had envisioned it in my mind.  That doesn't always happen!
