While blog hopping I came across this great birthday cake box idea here and decided it would be a good project for my Big Shot club this month. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP as well as the coordinating colors in the papers - rich razzleberry, crushed curry and melon mambo.
The flower on top is one from the Pretties kit that is dyed with an aqua painter and the rich razzleberry and melon mambo classic ink pads. The color of the cute corduroy brad in the center is summer sun, but was a good match with the crushed curry.
The inside of the box opens up to reveal a 12 x 12 scrapbook page - how fun! The cake itself is embellished with the new butterfly punch and a half-pearl from the Pretties kit. The birthday cake is created from the Big Shot XL birthday pop-up cake die. Normally if you use this diecut in a card, it gets squished and isn't as pretty... I love how the cake looks so great in this box. Here are some more photos for you to view... my club members loved this project!
