Check out this fun set of cards I made featuring the Two-Toned Flora stamp set from the Spring mini catalog for the March 2023 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! I paired it with the Go-To Greetings stamp set to make this clean and simple (CAS) card set.
This month on the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop we are featuring birthday cards as our theme. I decided to try out a new technique that has caught my eye recently on Pinterest called the Plus Sign One-Sheet Wonder. Have you seen this technique? So fun! This Christmas card set by Nancy Thompson is fantastic!
This is how I stamped my sheet that was cut to 10" x 7-1/2" (which I then cut into 4 pieces that are 5" x 3-3/4"). I used so many colors of ink: Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Melon Mambo, Polished Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. Once the pieces were cut, I mixed and matched them with Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Orchid Oasis and Polished Pink card stock for the card bases, mat and scalloped oval punch behind the sentiment strip. The Happy Birthday sentiments were all inked with Starry Sky ink.
The products I used can be seen above. To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code NK4X4VC3* with your online order at checkout through March 30th).
Here is a close-up of the two cards that are landscape in orientation.
And here are the two portrait orientation cards. Didn't they turn out great? I hope you give this technique a try! For more birthday inspiration, be sure to follow along on the blog hop using the links below.

Hello and Happy Sunday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring the Decorative Mask stencils from Stampin' Up! I decided to use the Artistic Mix set from the Annual Catalog along with the Art Gallery stamp set and a few colors from the Subtles color family. Please read on to find out more about each card....
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code NK4X4VC3* with your online order at checkout through March 30th).
The Decorative Masks are great stencils and are easily washed with water once you've finished using them. Here are the steps that I have found give the best results:
Temporarily attach your card stock panel to a piece of grid paper with multipurpose liquid glue - put a teeny bit on the back of your card stock, then smear it with your fingers until it is dry and tacky. Attach it to the center of your grid paper.
Get your stencil lined up where you want it, then hold it down on the grid paper using washi tape.
Ink up the blending brush with ink from your ink pad, but do so lightly. Use a light-handed circular motion to apply the ink to your card stock. Remember, you can always add more ink but you can't take it away!
Here is my first card - I used two different shades of ink (Balmy Blue and Highland Heather) to color the basic white card stock panel using this stencil. It is so easy to color using the new Small Blending Brushes found in the Spring catalog. I colored the floral image using Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz stampin' write markers, then cut it out using my paper snips (there is a coordinating dies set for this stamp set called Floral Gallery, but sadly I have misplaced mine somewhere in my craft room). I popped that up using dimensionals on a piece of basic white CS cut using the Decorative Circle punch. I inked the sentiment with Highland Heather ink and stamped it on a strip of basic white CS which I added at the bottom. I finished the card by embellishing with a few pearl basic jewels.
For this card I only inked a small strip on the basic white card stock panel and then overstamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink (I used large post-it notes to protect the rest of the card stock). The birthday sentiment was a little too long to fit, so I inked up each word one at a time to line them up on top of each other. Lastly, I embellished with a few rhinestone basic jewels.
Here is my last card - I simply inked the whole thing with balmy blue ink and popped up a stamped panel on top. I added a bow using the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon to embellish.
For even more Decorative Mask stencil ideas and inspiration, be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created this week. Happy stamping!!

Hello and Happy Friday - TGIF, am I right?! There is a new color challenge over on the CAS Colours & Sketches blog that I used to create my sympathy card for today. Sadly, I have needed a few sympathy cards to send to friends and family this week and thought this color palette would be perfect to use with the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.
The CAS Colours & Sketches blog provides a color challenge for the first half of the month and a sketch challenge for the other half. This month's palette is such a great color combination for spring-themed cards, especially florals. Please click the link or image above to check out the blog.
I must admit that I haven't used the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set in a while, and forgot how much I love it! I stamped the large flower image several times onto a 11" x 3" strip of basic white card stock and then colored them all at the same time, assembly-line style. There are solid image stamps in the set that coordinate with the flowers and foliage, making it super easy to color. Once they were colored, I used the coordinating Penned Flowers dies to cut each one out with my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code NK4X4VC3* with your online order at checkout through March 30th).
Here you can see the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and the basic pearls that I added for a little something extra. Once I die cut the floral image, I popped it up with dimensionals on my card front.
For the inside of the card I simply stamped the large floral image with Highland Heather ink, stamped off once on my grid paper, then stamped a partial image in the lower left corner. This allows me room to write, but also makes the inside of the card a little special too.
Here is one more view of my card. I hope I have inspired you to try out this color palette.
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!

Hello and Happy Tuesday! There are two new blog challenges that I used to create my friendship card for today - Just Add Ink's sketch #642 and the color Yellow from Cookie Challenge #178.
These blogs provide great inspiration and I combined the two for my card today. Check them out using the links below each photo.
I really love the Hues of Happiness DSP and haven't used it in a while... with Spring upon us here in Central Virginia, I thought it was a great time to pull it out to use for this card. I like the sketch - it's simple and the strip of DSP adds so much to this card! The yellow card stock that I used is Daffodil Delight and I paired it with Granny Apple Green, both of which (along with Melon Mambo) are found in the Brights color collection.
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code NK4X4VC3* with your online order at checkout through March 30th).
Here you can see the rhinestones that I added for some extra bling. The flower and leaves in the panel are cut from another pattern from this DSP and layered with dimensionals. I added the word friend from the Happiness Abounds stamp set with Melon Mambo ink. So easy!
For the inside of the card I simply added a skinny strip of the DSP and stamped the sentiment with Melon Mambo ink.
Here is one more view of my card. Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!

Hello and Happy Monday! There is a new Seize the Birthday challenge that ends tomorrow - #256: Red, White Plus One Color - and I decided to use the Love Cats stamp set along with the Happiness Abounds stamp set to create this fun, super quick and easy birthday card.
This blog challenge is all about birthday cards, but each time they add a "topping" for a twist, and for this challenge it was to use Red, White plus one color, so I chose Early Espresso as my plus one. Brown and red go together so well, just like chocolate-covered strawberries (which are my favorite!).

Here you can see the texture I added to the front panel using the Gingham embossing folder. I popped up the stamped panel as well as the sentiment strip.
For the inside of the card I stamped the cute upside-down kitty and another sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set. In my opinion, the Love Cats stamp set is perfect not only for Valentine's Day cards, but also for all the cat lovers in your life!!

Hello and Happy Sunday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing projects made with a color palette of green and white in honor of St. Patrick's Day coming up later this week. Here is what I came up with for that theme, a card perfect for a friend needing support.

I used the Eden's Garden stamp set and coordinating Eden dies (which I am happy to have earned for FREE during Sale-a-Bration last month!) for today's card along with the Petal Park builder punch to create the flower embellishment. My color palette includes Basic White, Garden Green, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.
Here is a close-up of the flower and part of the die-cut border. Isn't it pretty? To find out how I created the flower, be sure to check out this blog post from January 15th where I shared the instructions. I also sponged the outside edges of the flower petals to give it a little more pop. I added a rhinestone jewel in the center of the flower and added a few smaller ones on the card as well.
For the inside of the card, I left it super simple and just stamped one of the foliage images from the set with Pear Pizzazz ink.
Here is one more view of my card. For even green and white color palette ideas and inspiration, be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created this week. Happy stamping!!

Hello and Happy Sunday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing projects made with Sale-a-Bration items as this fabulous promotion is ending in a few days. I am sharing cards made with two items that can each be earned with a $50 merchandise order through February 28th - the Sending Support stamp set and Favored Flowers DSP (which coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers bundle on page 21 of the Spring Mini catalog).
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. Don't forget that now through February 28th you can earn exclusive Sale-a-Bration items with a qualifying $50 or $100 merchandise order. Here is the first card, with a beautiful color palette of Blackberry Bliss, Evening Evergreen and Fresh Freesia - all colors found in the beautiful DSP. I fussy cut this flower from one of the DSP designs and added a sentiment from the stamp set. I also added a few rhinestone jewels which I think finishes the card nicely. To add a little something extra to the inside of the card I added a skinny strip of DSP that was from the reverse side of the piece that I cut the flowers.
This card pulls colors from the DSP design - Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen and Petal Pink. I just love this sentiment and already know a co-worker that I will be sending this card as she recently did a presentation for our entire company despite being terrified. I want to let her know how proud I am of her!
Here is one more view of my card set. Which is your favorite? Isn't it amazing how the DSP is the star of both cards? For even more Sale-a-Bration ideas and inspiration, be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created this week. Happy stamping!!

Hello and Happy Sunday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing cards that we CASE'd from the Stampin' Up! Spring Mini catalog. I used the Framed Florets bundle to create my card this week along with a color palette from the Brights collection: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape.
This is the card I selected to CASE, it is found on page 38 and is a sample for the Way to Grow stamp set.
Here is another view of my card, I think I did the layout justice, don't you?

I stamped a foliage image all over on basic white card stock to create the background, and then colored the floral image with Stampin' Blends markers and cut it out using the coordinating die. The oval was cut out of the DSP piece using one of the dies from this collection and I popped up the flower image on the edge. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and was just stamped on a scrap strip of basic white card stock. I added a bow tied with linen thread to complete the card.
For the inside panel, I stamped the same foliage image as I used to create the background on the card front and added a sentiment from the stamp set.

Hello and Happy Thursday! There are two new blog challenges out this week that I used to create this fun birthday card. The color combination is from the new Color Hues challenge - TCH #58: Lime Green & Cyan - and I decided to use that color palette (new In Colors Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide) along with the new card sketch at Freshly Made Sketches - FMS573. I just got this Taco Fiesta stamp set recently and it is SO fun!
Here is another view of my card. I really like how the striped panel turned out - simple, but effective. I was able to follow the sketch pretty closely, don't you think? And how about this color combination, so fun right?!

Here is a close-up of the striped panel I created with card stock scraps. I glued them down on a piece of basic white card stock cut to 5" x 2-1/4". The little guacamole image was fussy cut and colored with stampin' blends, then popped up on the sentiment with dimensionals.
For the inside panel, I added a strip from the striped panel that I created for the front of the card and added that super cute avocado image in the left corner. I colored it with my stampin' blends and added the happy birthday sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set to complete it.
Here is one more view of my card. Thanks for visiting and Happy stamping!

Check out this fun set of cards I made featuring the Framed Florets bundle from the Spring mini catalog for the February 2023 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! Unfortunately, this bundle has been a popular one and is currently on back order until late March. Stampin' Up! has temporarily turned off the ability to order it until they get the next shipment in... sorry!
This month on the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop we are featuring our favorite bundles from the Spring mini catalog and I decided to make a set of cards featuring the bundle and the soon to be retiring 2021-2023 In Color collection.
The products I used can be seen above. Don't forget that now through February 28th you can earn exclusive Sale-a-Bration items with a qualifying $50 or $100 merchandise order. Here is my first card - it is a fun fold called the Bay Window. It can be sent flat in an envelope, but then opened up with the flap tucked under the embellishment and it is 3-D. How fun! I kept mine pretty simple, using the various dies in the collection to cut out the oval, frame and flower images. I also embellished with a few pearls. Believe it or not, this is not a difficult card to make. I got the idea from this blog - Create with Dee - but changed the dimensions to make it easier for myself - all 3 panels of the "bay window" are equal in size on my card:
Dimensions
Base card - Soft Succulent CS 11" x 4-1/4" scored at 1/2", 2", 3-1/2", 5" and 5-1/2"
Inside panel - Basic White CS 5-1/4" x 4"
DSP panels - (4) 4" x 1-1/4"
Here is a look at the inside of the card. The key is to pop something on the right side of the inside of the card with dimensionals so that you can anchor the flap from the front cover underneath to hold the card open. I used a piece cut out with the Lasting Label punch, which I embellished with various images from the stamp set that were cut out using the dies. For all the flowers on this card I used both Polished Pink Stampin' Blends. The leaves were colored with both Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends and the Light Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blend.
And this is my second card. Does the layout look familiar? I CASE'd myself from the Love Cats card I posted here. I used several of the dies to cut out the heart frame, oval frame and flower image. All images were colored using the Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.
Here is a view of the inside of the card. I left it blank (which gives me more options for sending since the front sentiment isn't specific) but added one of the other floral images which I colored to match the front. I am happy with the way these cards turned out and love this Framed Florets bundle!
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!!
