Hello and happy Tuesday!! I wanted to share the last two cards from my set that I created for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. In case you missed the first two posts, find them here and here.
Today's two cards feature the Healing Hugs stamp set from the Annual catalog and the new A Touch of ink stamp set that is a Level 2 Sale-a-Bration selection this year. I have already used this one so much (check out these cards here and here).
This marbled strip is the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous flower from the Healing Hugs stamp set. I inked the flower with night of navy ink, stamped off once, and then stamped it onto a piece of scrap whisper white cardstock. I did the same for the leaves image with garden green ink. These were both fussy cut using my paper snips and added to the square cut out using the Stitched Shapes dies. The sentiment was stamped with night of navy ink and then cut out using the Tailored Tags punch and added to the card.
Here you can see that the marbled piece has more of the night of navy swirls. So pretty!
For this final card, the marbling is the dramatic backdrop for the simple leaf image from the A Touch of Ink (SAB) stamp set. I used garden green ink and stamped it onto an oval die cut using the Stitched Shapes dies. There was just enough room to squeeze in the Hello Friend sentiment stamped with night of navy ink. I embellished the card simply with a piece of the whisper white ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon pack.
Here is another view of this card. I love how all of these cards turned out - which one was your favorite? I hope you give this fun (but messy) technique a try! Be sure to have your pieces of whisper white pre-cut (I grabbed scraps) so that once you are inky you can just get rolling creating your marbled pieces.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous day!
