Welcome to July's Stamper's Dozen blog hop! This month we are giving you some "Christmas in July" inspiration because it is never too early to get started on your hand-stamped Christmas cards!!
I decided to keep mine simple and easy to duplicate en masse - perfect for a Christmas card, am I right? Especially if you have a ton to make! This card features the super-cute Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set. I once again turned to the new 2018-2020 In Colors for this card - have you noticed how much I am using them in my projects this month? I really love them!! The DSP banner is notched with the Banner Triple punch. I also used the Cable Knit dynamic texture folder (the texture really does look so much like a warm sweater!) along with the Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares framelits with the Big Shot. If you don't yet own a Big Shot, you are really missing out!! To really make the texture pop I sponged the edges of the card stock with crumb cake ink. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of whisper white card stock which I notched using the banner punch, then I sponged the edges with crumb cake ink and added some rhinestones to embellish.
Here is a close-up of the focal panel - I colored Santa's suit and hat using the Lovely Lipstick stampin' write marker. The fur trim was colored using the clear Wink of Stella glimmer pen - Christmas cards need a little sparkle, right?! And lastly, I colored his belt and boots with the basic gray stampin' write marker and added a crushed curry buckle to his belt. What a fun image!
